Take a deeper dive into this paddle’s performance and price in our full review below:
Overview
Price: $89.95

The Head Radical Pro is tried and true. The paddle is lightweight and snappy without feeling brittle. The grip and handle feel good in your hands and allow for both powerful serves and lightning-fast reactions at the net. The face has a fair amount of grit to it for the price which will allow players to get a surprising amount of ball spin. We recommend this paddle for beginners and even semi-serious pickleball players (up to 4.5).
Price
The Head Radical Pro paddle is priced on the lower end of the spectrum for intermediate paddles at $89.95. At this price point, we feel the Radical Pro excels compared to many of its competitors.
Since the Radical Pro has been around since 2018, this paddle has not seen steep price inflation compared to newer pro-level models. You’ll certainly be able to find a better quality paddle when looking at new models in the $200+ range, but we feel the Head Radical Pro outperforms for its price and fits the needs of most intermediate and beginner-level players.
Performance
The Radical Pro is not a power paddle when compared with some of 2024’s more premium paddles and you’ll certainly be able to find textures that last longer and provide more spin. However, this tried and true paddle still has a place at the table because of the performance it offers given its price point.
For example, compared with other pickleball paddles under $100 (even newer paddles) we find the Radical Pro to be lightweight enough to provide speed up at the net, a larger-than-expected sweet spot with decent power, and grit to provide any player with plenty of spin (especially when new).
Overall, the Radical Pro has surprisingly solid performance and we recommend it for consistent or intermediate players. Find it below on Amazon!
